Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge....
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

BUCK
28 Yr old + Morab Gelding
Bucky passed on in the spring of 2006
as a result of a severe colic.
This is our memorial to the critters that we loved and miss that have gone before us.
2006 was a horribly hard year. It saw the passing of many of our geriatric friends, and one tragedy.
Thank you for stopping by and honoring our beloved critters' memories.
Iroc Z
"Rocs" was also in his mid twenties. He died from a broken heart, missing Buck, his pasturemate for at least 17 years.
Crossed in 2006....
Miz Shelby Brown
aka the Chocolate Moose
Moose was almost 14 when she was euthanized as a result of severe arthritis. We knew the day she didn't chase her tennis ball anymore that the time had come.
She is SO missed.
Shawnee
Shawnee was almost 23 when he colicked. His being a chronic cribber likely contributed to his passing.
He was Jim's first Appy and the first horse Becky ran barrels on.
The most painful was the December 26th accident that cost Dixie her life. The pain is still tremendous.

Chewy
aka King Faruk
This little black fuzz ball cheated death numerous times in his 12 year life. Chewy was the cat that made many non-cat people reconsider. He really DID KNOW that he ruled the world.
The Tweedles
Trucker & Bear
These boys were born on the farm right after Jim & Becky bought it.
Snorty
Snort was Becky's special baby. He was going to be her future barrel horse when he was euthanized at the tender age of 5 due to severe respiratory problems.
Tigger Woo
Tiggy was Becky's 8th grade graduation gift. Typical Cairn Terrier with the no holds barred personality. Everyone still laughs about how he swam in sinking circles!
Trucker & Bear were the offspring of a stray that moved into the barn a few weeks after Jim & Becky closed on the property. Both had several heath issues, likely due to mom's lack of good food. We enjoyed their company until they were 6 and 5 1/2 years old.
Our other friends and companions that had previously passed on....
